Title: Facebook For Live Video

Hello,

I hope you’ve been enjoying our series on live video
marketing so far, and I hope you’re learning some
useful stuff.

Today we’re going to start talking about some of the
different live video platforms you can use, and which
ones are best for your needs.

We’ll start with Facebook, because it’s the platform
that most people will probably already be using, even
if they aren’t using it live yet.

The good thing about using Facebook is that a huge
percentage of the people you want to reach already have
a Facebook account, so it’s a lot easier to get people
to watch your live events if you use a familiar
platform.

Plus, your videos will stay on Facebook after they are
aired to allow people to continue sharing them, which will
give you even more exposure over time, especially if your
live show was interesting.

If you already have a following on Facebook, especially if
your following is larger on Facebook than it is elsewhere,
it just makes sense to choose it as your primary live
video platform. It will be easier to reach people, because
your followers will receive notification when you go live.

Plus, Facebook has been promoting the heck out of live video
recently.

As an example, Problogger Darren Rowse had a following of
around 80,000 and managed to reach well over 100,000 people
with some of his live broadcasts - a number that dwarfed
the usual reach of his posts!

This is because Facebook boosts the reach of live streams
naturally, which lets you attract a lot more views than
a standard Facebook post or even a video.

Facebook makes it really easy to start a live stream,
and you can do it on your personal Facebook page,
a fan page, or even in a group or event. It’s as easy as
pushing a button and entering a description for your live
stream!

Even if you don’t have a large following on Facebook, going
live on the platform can actually help you grow it because
of their promotion of live streams and the sharing of the
recording later.

But there are other platforms that can be used successfully
for marketing, too. Tomorrow, we’re going to talk about
using YouTube live, so don’t miss it!

Until then,
